"Hi Benjamin This is very nicely put together, the tone is good and all the added effects are appropriate. As far as the music goes you do a fine job of layering all the different parts together and there is nothing wrong with the orchestration. My…"

"Hi ray Ok that makes sense, I don't really like sharing music as midi so i'm mostly limited to the instruments I play but I am considering writing some guitar/mandolin pieces in the future.  Thanks for listening "

"Hi Bob Thanks for listening I'm glad you liked it.  In regards to a folk sound well theres a lot of parallel 5ths and it's mostly diatonic but to be truthful the folk element was mostly just a starting point and I can't help…"

Alex Oliver Cawley replied to Michel-ange MERINO's discussion Samsara (Title not Definitive) - Movement For Orchestra and Percussions
"Enjoyed it, some very nice harmony and I agree the samples are very good, you could probably fool quite a few people into thinking it was real.  Is this a stand alone piece or part of something larger?"

Alex Oliver Cawley replied to Paul Wegmann's discussion New Piece using Crashing Glasses sound
"Hi Paul Thanks for the reply, I don't take your comments as harsh at all, I'm glad you have good reasons for what you are doing. I feel like subverting expectations is fine and I agree that we can create anything with music and it's…"

Alex Oliver Cawley replied to Benjamn Ray Maisonet's discussion Bruised Fingers (EDM)
"Hi Benjamin Good work, it's a nice atmosphere and would work great as background music to a lot of things. You could probably add some more variety in terms of instrumentation and melody but that does kind of miss the point, really I think that…"

Alex Oliver Cawley replied to Galih Setiawan's discussion Hangouts (Orchestral Composition)
"Fun piece, easily fits with a trailer or soundtrack, I can personally see this working in a lot of video game music so you could think about contacting some indie video game makers and seeing if they want to use your music. I think the orchestration…"

Alex Oliver Cawley replied to Paul Wegmann's discussion New Piece using Crashing Glasses sound

About Me (Must include biographical information about you as a composer):
My name is Alex Oliver Cawley, I studied piano performance at the London College of music and now work as a piano teacher.

I love composing and am trying to be more active and share my work as I recently completed roughly 9 or so pieces for solo piano. I try to write in my own style but as far as inspiration I would say Prokofiev, Ravel, Faure, Piazolla are a few that love.

Am mostly looking for feedback and just a place to discuss music.
