About Me (MUST be more than 10 words to be approved):
In the past years I have been composing and producing especially classical music, combining it with hard rock and electronic music. I am collaborating with movie makers, producers, musicians, singers, artists all over the world - Los Angelos, Chicago, Montreuil, Oslo, Copenhagen, Århus amongst others.

My personal music is getting even more electrified and I am challenging myself in new directions and styles all the time.

Don't hesitate to call for a collab!

I also spend a lot of time working on building electronic music instruments, electronic installation art, strange doom machines and brewing strong coffee.

This summer I start at DIEM (Degree In Electronic Music) at the Danish Royal Music Academy.

Favourite music and inspiration:

Soundtracks: Requiem For A Dream, My Downfall, Das Boot, Der Krieger Und Die Kaiserin, Pirates Of The Caribbean, Slumdog Millionaire, Matrix, Angels and Demons, Star Wars, and much more.. I just love a great Hollywood score with a twist. Original soundtracks often touches me and I love to walk around playing Im in the movie :-)

Artists and bands: Rammstein, The Prodigy, Aphex Twin, Björk, Marilyn Manson, Queen, Muse, Michael Jackson, Korn, Nine Inch Nails, Mindless Self Indulgence, Kraftwerk, Chick Corea, Opeth, Dimmu Borgir, Tangerine Dream, Infected Mushroom, Frank Zappa, Autechre, Bar 9.... Just to mention a fraction.

Classical composers: Bach, Stravinskij, Penderecki, Verdi, Orff, Grieg, Strauss, Nielsen, Shostakovich, Vivaldi...... My favourite genres is requiems, passions and operas..

Movies: I am terrible at remembering names of the very special movies.. Most movies makes deep impressions and leaves feelings and thoughts for later use.. Or just good entertainment in the moment.. Gran Torino, The Wall, Children Of Men, Lost Highway, Babel, Koyaanisqatsi, Slumdog Millionaire, You, Me And Everyone We Know, Die Blechtrommel, The Dark Knight, Memento, Battle Royale, Blood Diamond, Matrix I, Lion King, Fantasia 2000, Hellsing(Alucard), Fantastic Planet, A.I., Clockwork Orange, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, The Shining....

Art.. Especially abstract art such as Dali, biomechanic style like Geiger's and gothic pictures such as Luis Royo. Alexander Rodin is a fav at the moment, after an exhibition in Tacheles, Berlin.

Books.. I love to read, but never got the time for it.. Perfume: The Story Of A Murderer, Crime and Punishment, Doppler, The Wind-up Bird Chronicle, Dune....

The News, science and history.. No words for the beauty and grotesque of our world and human nature.. Love and war.. The beauty and magnificence of Verdi's requiem contra the cruelty of the fact that one billion people starves.... Don't know if it makes sense, the clockwork has ticked too many times once again.....

It will be called "Falling and Rising". At the moment I am finishing up a recording with one of my bands, The Green String Farm Band: http://thestrongsauce.com/ We've been working on our second CD tentatively called "Dirt Bag Wine Country Living". Thanks for asking! How about you? What are you working on at the moment?

I saw that "Requiem for a Dream" was at the top of your list of favorite soundtracks. I was really affected by that movie as well. After watching it for the first time years ago, I wrote a song the next morning while still reeling from it. I called it "Song for a Dream". If you are interested in hearing it, it is the last song on the "Music" page of my website: http://www.chrisvibberts.com/songs I hope you enjoy it.

Take care!

Chris

Hi Alex. You seem like a man I need to know (very tech savvy). I've got four new pieces, and as soon as I figure out how to work all my new hardware and software (at least a little) I'll post them. Do you ever use virtual instruments for the lead guitar with overdrive? I know VSL has several, but I'm taking technical baby steps right now. :-)

I enjoyed imaginary war. Sounds like a piece for epic film. ImpoRebus is musical caffeine (makes me jumpy). I hope we get a chance to share info at some point. Welcome!
