I like the first version of the discovery the best, but I understand some of the world has a hankering after facts. If you are of that number please accept the second version.
The key signature is G major Anne, but don't be fooled by that. I love Beethoven in this period - so obscure and subtle. What I admire most about his mind though is that, apparently, he didn't give a rat's rear end if anyone "got it" or not. That's intellectual integrity.
