Share 'What would you do if part of your composition sounded like another?'

Hey guys, I'd like to ask you this: Have you ever written something that sounds very similar to something that already exists though without meaning to? If so, what do you do about it? Do you try to vary it so that it sounds different or do you keep it as it is and hope no one notices the similarity?? I'm asking this cos it's happened to me a few times.
