Music Composers Unite!

Chris Merritt will do section 1 and end in G major at 140 bpm

The sections will be pieced together IN THIS ORDER LISTED BELOW. Pick 2 adjacent chords and make one the beginning and the next the ending. Remember: These chords and tempos do not have to define your section, you just have to use them and the proper tempo up front and at the end for the transitions.

Pick your two and reply below with your choice. So no one else does the same section. We are calling "sections" of this one piece "tracks."

You will notice that some tracks are underlined and are links - this means the composer has completed them and the link is to the mp3, so you can hear it. The underlined composers' names are links to their pages here on the Composer' Forum.

When we have a few consecutive tracks submitted, we will make a master audio file with them crossfaded in tempo and post it, so you can hear! Then as more are added, we will add them to the master file, slowly building the World's Longest Through Composed Piece!

John

Thanks much! I love composing in D minor.
I have a quick question: any rules on instrumentation?
No rules - you have 2 minutes to takes us from your first key to the next!

What strings are you using in yours, Chris (Merritt)?
I don't remember! Maybe EWQLSO? And / or vienna... It was a long time ago!

Well, they sound very nice anyway.

I compose using Finale...anybody here willing to take my section when it is finished and convert it to better quality audio output?
Yeah, I'll have a crack at it. Export it as a midi file and send it to me, but make sure it is an 01 type file.
