Hey all. I'm new to the songwriters' camp. I've written over 1400 lyrics and am starting a massive project to orchestrate the music to all of these. Generally when I write, I have the melody as well as the lyrics in my head at once, for most of the songs that is. I also love to see how other people come across the writing process.

first is a poetry for me! Most of my compositions I wrote for a ready texts of my friends or polish known poets (also very old and not living). See my music tracks.. But somethimes it's happen: I wrote a music and my friends brought me words for adapation..and songs ready!
No rules! It depends to a moment, day, mood, i don't know how it works really..

Most of the time I get music and lyrics at the same time, but I never seem satisfied enough to call it finished. I'm a lousy singer so I would rather present my music instrumentally.Would it be out of line of me to post lyrics of a song here and attach the music file for feedback?

Usually I hear the music first, but sometimes a phrase will come with the musical idea. Usually that phrase is a theme that I can build the song around, the phrase is usually the hook.
