For remote session work, I offer electric guitar recording with an emphasis on tone sculpting to your stated request and improvisational ability. Primarily a Stratocaster player (I have 10+, all modded differently to get different sounds from different eras). Highlights from other guitars in my collection include a Neptune Baritone electric, Ibanez Hollowbody Jazzbox (great for fuzz tones, ambient feedback), and a ESP/LTD with active EMGs to get that darker modern metal sound. All of my guitars are professionally maintained and setup with recording in mind. I even have a few with corrected nuts/bridges so that they always play in tune everywhere across the neck.

Wide variety of effects pedals, amps from Fender, Vox, Marshall, and some nice boutique, hand built brands selected especially for studio recording (low relative noise level, character of sound in the transformer).

I use Nuendo 4 for recording electric guitars. Also use Cubase SX3, 4 & 5 (64 bit).

If any composer would like to run any MIDI tracks through my sample farm, I'm also available for that. Check my Ning profile page for list of vst brands I use, more specific list available upon request.

Rates: Per project / negotiable. Please contact me: creativefilmpro AT gmail.com

Instruments: an ex-symphonic musician, (BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra & other big outfits!) I've been a session musician for most of my life. I play double-bass (orchestral & jazz)/ bass guitar/ fretless five-string. Also, to a lesser extent, piano & keyboards. It may be of interest that, living in Scotland, I have access to some really good bagpipe players (classical & cauld wind) (that isn't a joke, by the way!)

formats: Logic pro 8

It may also be of interest that I have recently installed the Vienna Symphonic Library Super Package on a slave PC and hope to be familiar with it in a month or two!

I usually work as a player for UK musicians' union rates. Any writing would be by negotiation.
