Comment by Phillip Lovgren on June 11, 2013 at 1:24am I have come up with a few piano tunes so here I am. In fact I use the piano quite often.
Happy piano composing!
Comment by Martha Maria / Dogwood Daughter on October 30, 2012 at 10:30pm Thank you, Charles, for taking the time to listen. And I'm glad they took you back to a sweet time with your great grand children.
Comment by Charles Greco on October 30, 2012 at 9:52pm Martha Maria, I think your Classical Suite for Children was indeed well focused for the children, and is appropriately nicely done. I was especially touched by the Thumbelina and by the Nightingale. They took my recollection back to times with my great-grandchildren. Thanks for sharing.
Comment by Martha Maria / Dogwood Daughter on October 30, 2012 at 3:13pm a link to a little classical suite I've written for children, based on the stories of Hans Christian Andersen. http://www.lilycatmusicforkids.com/
If this link takes you to the home page, just click on 'Listen' and you will find the suite there.
Many years ago, I used to teach music at Fort Sanders Developmental Center, which was the Knox County School for the most physically and mentally challenged children, ages 4 through 22nd birthday. I became interested in composing for children back then. Only took me some 25 years to get around to finally doing it.

All feedback / constructive criticism appreciated...
Comment by Gav Brown on July 30, 2012 at 9:24pm I wrote this music for a young composer friend of mine, who was worrying about how to develop a unique style. I said to him "you can write in any and all styles" and so wrote this piece in multiple styles.
Comment by Frans Wentholt on July 23, 2012 at 8:05pm Thank you very much, Charles! (If you don't mind, I'll pass your comment to Carla, the dedicatee - she is reponsible for the inspiration - and I think that inspiration makes all the difference)
Comment by Charles Greco on July 23, 2012 at 7:20pm Frans, I found your Nocturne to be quite an interesting work. Yes, I really did like it.
Thanks for sharing it.
Comment by Frans Wentholt on July 23, 2012 at 2:26pm I just published a new Nocturne for piano, on YouTube. All comments are welcome.
