ASCAP never asks for any copy of anything of your music. You are confused

Amazing Group

Hi. I'm pretty new here and I've just joined this group. I've uploaded some of my library tracks to my page, so please check them out if you're interested in hearing them. There's a Chopin style Nocturne entitled 'Sad Dramatic Piano', a quirky electronica piece called 'On a Mission', a hard electronic track called 'Hard Electro Rock' and a soaring orchestra and drums piece called '21st Century Christmas'.

Thanks.

Neville.

Hi, I just joined.  I am trying to learn the ropes of submitting to music libraries.  I have not submitted anything yet, mostly listening to the music at those various sites to figure out what genres I would fit into, and basically what is expected quality wise.  Right now for me - in what order do I take steps to acheive this?  This is what I've done: Composed some music, created a website, joined ASCAP, joined this forum, etc.  Now what?  What I've learned so far from this group is that I want to go non-exclusive. Not sure about the rest though.  From what I've read here, it sounds like the smaller companies are more likely to agree to that.  I've made a few phone calls locally, and libraries will accept unsolicited material, and that's good.  I just don't know what the next step should be.  This forum is really great, and the compositions are amazing!

Hi, I'm new - glad to find the site and this group. I have been accepted by several music library's, but still waiting to see what happens next! I have found MusicLibraryReport.com to be very helpful with review of music librarys, contact info, and a forum for Q&A.

Hi everybody,

I'm glad to be part of this group. I think that sharing our experiences in the Music Libraries arena is something very useful.

I wish a nice week to you all.

Luigi

Hi All

I wanted to share a website to assist in managing music submissions. It is www.LiquidSoundMusic.com

I do have an affiliation. I developed it. At first it was strictly for myself so I could manage my submissions to publishers, music libraries and such. I then decided to open it up for free to all composer/songwriters.

This is not the reason I joined this website. I do compose as well first and foremost. I thought I would just share a tool that might help other composers.

Please take a look and contact me through the website if you have any questions.
