James Macmillans "Mass and other religious work" is my absolute favorite in religious music. The arrangements is SATB + Boy sopranos accompanied by a great cathedral organ. I would dearly recommend the Kyrie, it's etheral, truly magic. Mozarts requiem is also a favorite, a more famous one though.

Welcome everybody. I hope this group can be helpful for discussing about sacred music and works about sacred themes or created in order to be performed in sacred rites, including rules about music in liturgy. What is adecuated? How to get inspired themes? Anyway, all what could be important for those who are interested in these issues, f. ex. the form of the mass (including the "Requiem"), meaning (and translation from latin) of sacred texts, etc. So, welcome, again, and let's go posting.
