regarding east west vs vienna: vienna is better. vienna has an engine with less problems statistically, I'd bet money, as a vsti. EW has a 'sound' which will dominate any mix. if you go with all EW, you're good to go right out the box. but Vienna is very customizable, and there isn't all this room sound, it's a basically dry soundstage they use. they make presets for much of their instruments in vienna suite, EQs some with pre or post comp., so you can get their sound, or get more of your own idea of a sound up with theirs. and for a real pro setup, you network their vienna ensemble which sees more RAM than what your 32 bit host will allow, and isn't taxing the CPU the same way a vst in a host does. the quality is pretty much unsurpassed in VSL. And they make some pretty interesting ones, I have a waterphone up in an electronic texture which is just terrifying. Vienna Ensemble is a mixing host, very elegant GUI. EW is for a one size fits all solution, essentially.

Hey
I'm wondering - is anyone out there is using Vienna or East - West and Finale? Does anyone have any comments about the relative quality of these two libraries?

Thanks, David
