Enjoyed your piece. I've been doing a bit of research on Brass band writing and found this site. http://www.bandsman.co.uk/writing.htm. Any other resources you know of.

All my brass writing has been for the more traditional brass choir and ensembles, so this genre interests me.

I've just joined this group, so nice to meet you all!

I've just added my new piece 'Debate' to my profile page, and would appreciate any comments. I've split the band up into 5 small groups to get a 'separated' effect, you won't be able to suss that out from listening to the Sibelius-generated version of the piece on here, however the score is downloadable from my website at: www.ianleemitchell.com - I really would appreciate any comments.

I've been writing brass band music in the brass-band deprived region of Southern California for the last few years. I started the L.A. Metropolitan Brass Band to help fill the void.
