A European composers' group? .......Why? 5 Replies

Is the world not big enough? Should we be inward looking? I only joined so I could ask these questions and if I get some good and reasonable answers I'll look forward to further participation in it.

Europe is the biggest and most vital area a composer needs to be heard. If you are popular in Europe the rest is easy.

You've mentioned a few composers no one has ever heard of. No, I'm afraid you are quite incorrect. There are not now and there never have been any composers in Europe.

The concept of a European Composer is much like the concept of the fantastical mountain goat or the lowland Gorilla. Purely finctional.

America is the home of Classical music. There was Brahms and Wagner, both from Grinell Iowa I believe, and Telleman from Kearney Nebraska.. and of course Debussy from Grants Pass Oregon.

Now, if you don't belive any of this, just keep it to yourself, or being American we will be forced to invade whereever you are.
