Hi guys,

How are you doing?

I wrote those two short piano pieces and wanted to know what you think. ;)

I hope you’ll enjoy them.

Thank you very much for taking the time to listen and maybe comment.

Hi Jérémie, we do ask members to post one piece per post. No need to alter this post, but for future reference - Gav

I'm sorry. It won't happen again. ;)

Regarding the second piece, this is a pretty little number which calls to my mind mid-Twentieth century romantic movie music. It also has a sadness to it which I think is the strength of the piece. After all, what is good music about if not to invoke our emotions? Nicely done and thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much Gav. Yes, I also think that this sadness is the substance of this piece. I'm glad you liked it.

Hi Jeremie. I liked the start and stop rhythm to the theme, which gives a certain propellant to its motion. (I thought that that idea could have been used a bit more in the piece, - just my opinion,). Wonderful Chopinesque allusions here and there.
Especially the call and response between octave movement, and chordal response, as well as the harmonic content.
A convincing piece! Good work!
ps.. I am referring to 'Farewell'.

Thank you so much for taking the time to listen and comment. I'm glad you liked the piece, overall. And, indeed, Chopin is always on my mind when I write something.

Hello Jeremie,

it feels round and convincing, and the climax till the end is well-crafted (I refer to Farewell).

Thank you for posting.
