Music Composers Unite!

Hello.

I'm a beginner composer and I've been wanting to practice and increase my skills wile I still hav e time (ergo, before collage in 2 years) and I'm currently writing my own longer versions of the Legend of Zelda temple warp songs. If you have not heard these, not only should you, but they are all very short (10 second about) pieces that kind of have eggagerated musical styles (ex. Bolero of Fire or Minuet of Forest. One would be more brassy and the other very watlz-esque)

but in order to make them longer without too much repition I need to make them variated and/or make new parts out of the chord structures and notes that are present in the original and I'm not sure how to go about that and still stay with the style of each piece.

So if you have any tips, please share them! ='(! 9and sorry for spelling, its super late where I am and I need to go to sleep!! So no time to fix
