Dear All Forum Mates!

I would like to introduce my new piece 'The piano and me'. I hope you like it. I had a little time and this is the result. Happy New Year to everybody!

Hi Leber,

A nice straightforward melody with emotion, well performed. Thanks for posting!

Best,

Gav

Happy New Year to you as well!

I found this a very nice piece. Enjoyed the listen. I really have no critique on it. The main theme was very prevalent. Not a busy piece, more ballad material. Relaxing to the soul.

Very nice piece! Warm and Romantic... I especially like the way the harmonies in the left hand develop.

Is this improvised to some extent? or is it fully written out and memorized? Well done in either case.

Thank you for sharing... oh... and the Christmas tree in the background is a nice touch.

Hi everybody!

Thank you for your replies! I'm very happy to read this reactions :)

"Is this improvised to some extent?" - yes, originally it is improvised, I 've found the main melodies during improvisation and basically the left hand harmonies were born this way too at the same moment. After that I always write it down to sheet music after I record it to MIDI (just not to forget it :) )

Starting at 0:38 you have a little pause at the end of every measure. Is that notated? You do it very consistently.

No, it's not notated. But as I felt it, it had to be be there in that time when I recorded it. But I don' know, it could be in a pick-up measure I think. What do you think? Is it good with/ or without it?

Finally I had some time and I created the trancript which can be downloaded here: http://lebersoftware.hu/zene/The%20piano%20and%20me_L%C3%A1szl%C3%B...
