Music Composers Unite!

This is the final aria in The Christmas Story.  It contains ideas from Bach's Italian Concerto second movement and Ravel's Concerto in G.  A slow movement often has a slow pulse with an even slower melody.  In this case the pulse has it's own melody, with the main melody played over it.  In the second half I add piano embellishment ala Ravel.  Fitting all three parts together was a great challenge for me.  Do the parts work together?  Your input is much appreciated.

This is done really well in my opinion Lawrence--the first almost half is beautifully touching and tinged with sadness, while the second half moves more and more to hopeful and joyful music.

Again I feel you made all the right moves, and have written and exceptionally good piece of music..

WELL DONE and thanks so much for sharing!
