marco, my first impression... tho' I will listen again.   You have interesting and original ideas and I really enjoy

how you introduce and use a variety of instruments for effect and dynamics. Still, as a whole, I thought the focus

wandered a bit. My title for this piece would be 'Far East Fantasy'. That is only what 'I' heard and my interpretation

of the language you used.   happy harmonies

Hi Roger,

thanks for listening and for the feedback!

This track was an experiment to merge (as you say) far east atmosphere with western composition style

It is called this way because in my mind, it tells the story of this boy who immersing his ear into the water reminds of past experience somewhere lost in the sea.

There is a part in the middle with trumpets and tubular bells which to me evocative of an old harbour which is very far away (as you could hear it from high sea)

Thanks for listening again :)

Marco, that IS precisely what I heard and how I interpreted it. No title necessary  lol  good job!

Hey Marco,

Great ambient track! I do think like roger that this is more of a wandering piece than a directed one, but to me this isn't a bad thing. Is it me or do I get some sort of radiohead vibe mixed with something else while listening to this?

Thanks,

indeed scope of this track is to create a story for the picture and yes you can define it an ambient track.

My intention was to materialize with music the memories of the boy.

About radiohead you are right, around minute 3:00 it reminds me of something in amnesiac, probably the trumpets are similar to the atmosphere of the song "Life in a Glasshouse"

By the way not intentional, and yes I am a big fan of radiohead :)

EXCELLENT DAW work Marco. Manipulation like this makes such a difference to the actual music doesn’t it, makes it speak so much more musically than more basic midi playback sound which is often preferred by some composers. The piece is cool too and the whole concept is a neat idea.

Behind the scene available!

Thanks for watching :)

Not everyone has access to this level of quality though Mike. My setup is very basic indeed and I hope that the music will come through on its own merits. Marco has produced a wonderful piece.
