Hi All

I've had a look and brief listen to his music - here's an useful link I came across:

Cheers, CD

If you want to hear the infinity series in action, listen to Voyage to the Golden Screen, which is about as pure a form of it as it gets. You also get it very clearly in the second symphony. There is an unpitched infinity series in I Ching.

If anyone wants recommendations for his music, I studied with him for a short time, and have orchestrated and arranged several pieces of his, most notably the chamber orchestra version of Helle Nacht. There is a fine recording of it with Peter Herresthal on Bis.

Stephen,

That's an impressive cv and website. Any chance you could post some of your work here, perhaps in a blog?

Norgards 4th + 5th symphony are the only 2 works I have listened to as I have them on CD. Yet another composer on the bucket list.

I've posted a blog that includes Remembering the Night Sky, as well as links to my orchestration of Nørgård's Helle Nacht. BTW, most of his Symphonies are available on Spotify. There are also a couple of new recordings of his 1st cello concerto coming next year, one of which I was co-orchestrator, the reduced version of Between. I think both the original (BBC Phil?) and reduced versions (New Music Orchestra, Poland) are being released with the same cellist. They are also releasing the cello transcription of Remembering Child, but I don't think they recorded my sinfonietta version, but I may be wrong.
