Where are all the budding Nashville factory folk in the forum.

This is a lot of fun Ray. If Country still sounded country, like your little foray, more people like me might still listen. I don't know about Country station formats across the pond, but here they've seemed to become infected with a teeny-bopper pop-culture innuendo. OK, I'm not necessarily against fusion of styles per se, but listening to a Country station here is like listening to Brittany Spears with synthetic fiddles and slide guitars. They also invariably do this phaser-thingy with the vocals that's reminiscent of the effects Boston used, except with Boston, it worked.

Nas pickin' there, partner.

Kristofer,

I'm glad you enjoyed this bit of humor presented here as I just acquired the banjo sample library used in it.
I produced this on midi file back around the late 90's using only General Midi sound sources. How far virtual instruments have moved on since computer processing got faster.

Me thinks line dancing has a lot to do with Nashville Country going pop!
now! Flatt and Scruggs they were real country stars :)

The track here is from an album produced in 1993 by Run C & W

Like the pickin', Ray. But, let's face it: who can top Achey Breaky Heart?
