Music Composers Unite!
Hey guys. I recently finished another piece of epic music, "Gears Of Emotion"

Let me know what you think, whether you like it or not, and what can be improved.

I liked it overall but here's my 2 cents:
- If you're going to make more music like this, I would suggest investing in a good kontakt strings library. The strings you used are very RPG-like synthy sounding and sound kinda lame (i'm talking about the instrument used). I think using a real strings library and playing around with the dynamics would definitely make it better)
- the chords sound epic but it sounds too quiet for me to find it epic, maybe put a bit more heavy orchestral drums in there

Do you know what the word "epic" means?
Not exactly. I guess I'm just comparing this type of music to all the stuff that's called epic on youtube.

Yeah I agree. I am working with the free strings that came with pro tools, and can't wait to buy some East West stuff when I have the money.
This sounds more like a Montage sequence than an epic. Do you score all of your music on notation software and then apply the VST plug-ins? I like the pads and electronic elements in the percussion. Which VST plug ins do you use for those? And again, are they scored or just simply "produced"? Thanks!
I like this as a montage! The beginning has a dark unfolding, and then it has a coming to light type of progress.
