I would like to hear your thoughts on the composition for piano and bass baritone. Thank you! :)

This is splendid, and what an art song should be.  The instrument supports the vocal, and the vocal supports the lyrics, which are prominent and perfectly clear throughout.  The rather meandering piano, spiked with carefully placed dissonances, suits the atmosphere of the poem perfectly.

Hello Jan Paul,

it seems to me a very congenial musical version of the wonderful poem. I can say that I enjoyed listening to it very much. The "message" of Hesse, but also the general feeling around the words is transported very well.

Thank you.

Thank you very much! I am glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks for the kind words! :)
