Music Composers Unite!

Hi,

I happened to write the accompaniment for my single voice choir

prayer...

I thought there was a place here on CF to propose our works for

commercial use but I could not find it.  Nevertheless I do not care

too much about it.

Any comments are welcome.

Cheers.

Ali

Pleasant and easy to listen to, Ali.

Slightly mesmerising and not so far from an ecclesiastical mood. Moving, sincere words.

I'm probably wrong but it sounded to be loosely in the dorian mode. There's nothing to criticise. It works well and in live performance would capture nuances difficult in a rendering.

Well done - as ever, Ali. Yet another side to your composing repertoire.

Cheers,

Dane.

A comfortable backdrop coupled to a most meditative vocal line. The word Dane used, "mesmerizing" I found also to be a great description. I wanted to keep listening. A very comforting piece. It put me into a kind of zone that caused me to reflect...like a prayer. Most fitting title. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Dane,

I thought I did it in Huseyni (re mi fa sol la si-naturel do re), a Turkish mode

and maybe also a Church mode.

Thank you for your continues interest and informing/inspiring comments.

This is part of my 'religious' works, maybe agnostic approach... maybe

multi religious.  The original idea is taken from a Christian mother's prayer,

Salvina Regina.  I cannot remember the melody though.  It is mine I guess...

Hi Timothy,

Thank you very much for your interest.

I am glad it served a purpose.
