With the first and second movements being such hard acts to follow, I've had quite a bit of difficulty with this particular movement. I've actually spent quite a few months on it (I've had other commitments as well, of course).
It's a typical scherzo in a sort of crude ternary form with a trio (by name only, as with most later symphonic trios). It's also written in the major tonality, and I always find that a challenge.
So for anyone wanting to hear this, it might be a good idea to refamiliarise yourself with the first two movements (on my profile page) so that you can establish its connection with the rest of the symphony.
I hope you enjoy it, and the finale will be following very shortly in mammothonian proportions.
