Thanks so much for your support and analysis! And listening back on some Genesis stuff, I think I see what you mean. :)

It took me a long time to perfect it, and I think just the amount of time I spent in front of the piano playing with the composition helped develop the song.

Nice first composition Jacob! I read your page, and I am very impressed. Most musicians I know don't have a natural feel for musical phrasing after only three years, so you have really progressed a lot. Your composition also reflects a sensitivity to this.
