Music Composers Unite!
This is an instrumental I wrote in the Sonar 8.5 piano roll using virtual instruments. Feel free to comment on any aspect. I always have trouble with bass levels, so any comments on that front would be much appreciated.
Here’s a Soundcloud link in case the mp3 doesn’t work:

Hi Rick
This is a jolly enough tune, nothing wrong with it - it's perhaps a wee bit long given it's repetitive nature and general samey-ness. But pleasant enough for all that.
I can't pick out any link in the piece to "Mental Suicide".
Cheers, Colin
I'd hesitate to comment on popular music but can't avoid it here. It's lovely. It comes from a warmer era than the sort of racket that I turn off to these days - kind of Chad and Jeremy Distant Shores of the extraordinary beautiful Beach Boys In the Warmth of the Sun - with interesting harmonies, an engaging tune and - what? It ends without a fade-out!? That's rare. Great!
I found no problems with the balance/bass, it's enough to consider a slowish samba-like or bachata dance. I also hadn't a problem with the length - it might have seemed long if only listening to it but as a background or a dance it's a nice length. I hope I'm not sounding abusive speaking of dance but pop music does tend to be about movement too.
So, all in all...lovely. But I can't associate it with anything "suicide".
Hmm, the edit facility seems to have gone again....just this minute. It opened to edit, I made a change, saved it but the change didn't appear. Now it won't open to edit.
