Music Composers Unite!

John will attempt to answer any questions you have on the organisation required to make this process happen. Also please comment on the difference having a real orchestra and chorus has on the music compared to most of us sitting alone with our samples and DAWs

John, did you use any form of DAW link up on this session such as Pro Tools Source Connect?

Although Source Connect could certainly be an option in the future, in this situation, I basically monitored/directed over SKYPE broadband signal quality and they then uploaded stems to my ftp site. I'm currently discussing this option with the studio for future sessions.

Wow, John! That is beeeeeutiful!!!! Great music! Could we get an idea of the cost involved?

Thanks Chris! It was a great experience working with them. I was able to record several cues "piggybacked" on to another session that was currently in progress, so I was able to save considerable money. Suffice to say, their package rates(orchestra, conductor, studio, etc) are about 1/3 to as little as 1/8th the cost of recording in the United States or Canada. Much of this is because of the discrepancy between economies, dollar value, etc (and you think we're going through a recession!). Anyway, if anyone wants to take advantage of this resource, they can contact Taras Myronyuk through www.tarasmak.com.
