First time composing for a full length documentary, how to charge?

Hello!

I have recently been hired by the BBC to score a full length feature documentary, and have absolutely no idea how to charge for a job like this. I have only composed for short films and multimedia so far. I have been advised by the director to "aim high" when speaking to the project manager about finances.

Any advice or reflections on this matter would be greatly appreciated!!

Thankyou :)

Hi Drea! Congratulations! Well I've never had a composition job like this, but I checked online and found this article from 2013 that you may find useful, and welcome to the forum. http://diymusician.cdbaby.com/2013/08/someone-hires-you-to-create-o...
