Music Composers Unite!

Hi, nice to meet you, new here, great to be here, I'll get some of my stuff into MP3 and upload soon...

And I have a question: I'm just as green as can be right now, but in my life on other forums, I'm often the veteran who steers the new guy to the appropriate "Read Here and Have All Your Questions Answered" thread or such when they started asking where things are, how to upload, what are the rules, etc...

So, before I start asking dumb questions, does that thread exist here?

Sure. I've been composing music (mostly symphonic and chamber, and most of it tonal or multitonal. I've also made an attempt at a musical) most of my forty eight years, but rarely finishing any of it.

I still enjoy the struggle though. I suppose I'm primarily interested in the opportunity to learn from those who've been more successful at it, and the chance to place my music before people.

Before I attempt to answer your question Eric, perhaps you might answer one for me? I was wondering what you are hoping to get out of being a part of this forum and what are your expectations? I would ask a couple of other questions too but I pride myself on not being too nosey! :)
Hi there! Well I certainly am not a veteran of this forum, but some rules and uploading info can be found in the sub directory of the Forum link which you might have already seen. Here are some direct links:

I'll read them. Thanks!

I'll do that, thanks. I need to get some MIDI stuff rendered and formatted in MP3. Just guessing, but I bet scanning pages of my terrible handwriting out of my manuscript notebooks wouldn't cut it here :)
I do have a few MP3s around somewhere on CD-Rom (including a couple self-recordings) but they're buried deep somewhere, and wouldn't be anything I've been working on lately, so I think I'll just concentrate on MIDI.
