This is a most beautiful, emotional and exciting piece of music...VERY WELL DONE!! :)

It may be because I only listened to it thru headphones, and am tired from my own composing, that I note the following--which again might only be due to the circumstances of my listening to it:

I almost lose the cello due to I feel the instruments needing to be panned slightly more left/right, with the cello more in front. At 3:40 I can really hardly hear the cello.

I also had a tough time with the length of it, listening to it all...and this was only the preview, slightly more than half of the entire piece. My guess the reason of this is, is that there werent enough breaks, with the music having sections, and seemingly was at times just continuous music.

Again this might all just be ME, but I offer it in case there might possibly be something to it. Its a GORGEOUS piece of music, and you should be very proud of yourself.

Thanks so much for sharing!

Hi Michael -  You have a beautiful sound here and this piece works well for an ambient easy listening type of market I think. I agree with Bob that it too long for my taste. The dynamics and phrasing are good but the LH piano pattern is way too similar for too long. I like your sounds though, can you comment on your production process?

I really do not understand why it ends so abruptly. The ending is a most essential part of music.

Hi Kjell--This was only a 9 min preview of a 16 minute piece..its not the entire piece.

Michael had written this on Youtube:

"This is a 9min preview of my new piece Emotude for Piano & Cello. The full 16min recording is available..."

Hope this helps!

Thank you for sharing the full version. I find your piece beautiful and enjoyed it greatly. Sometimes it evokes Saint-Saens The Swan but you manage to keep your own signature all through. And the ending is great.
