Music Composers Unite!
Hi there,
I started working on a piece last week, and now, returning to it, it really feels like the latter part of it is maybe unintentionally stolen from something. I may just be paranoid, but I want to know if anyone else recognizes this? The part I'm talking about is from 01:49, to the end. Here's a link to the composition, in it's current, unfinished state: http://www.box.net/shared/22ksqdit9i
Keep in mind that this piece has not been mixed or anything. It's right out of Cubase!
Regards,
Anthony

This is an amazing peice! Its a great inspiration.
What comes to mind would be the Final Fantasy (Game) Soundtracks, but in your own style. The work sounds original.
Congrats and thanks for sharing!
Thanks guys! I appreciate the feedback.
Yeah, it was such a strong vibe, but maybe I don't have to worry. :) If none of you recognize it, then I'm probably safe. Thanks for taking your time and listen to it.
Michael Tauben: I use the Symphonic Orchestra series from East West/Quantum Leap. This only uses one mic position though. I have the platinum edition, so it gives me access to three. I also own their Hollywood Strings library. But I haven't been able to afford a 64bit system yet (so I only have 4 gb ram and Windows 7 32bit atm), which means I cannot load more than one patch from Hollywood Strings at a time. That plugin sounds sooooo much better than their string library from the Symphonic Orchestra series. So I always compose using the strings from Symphonic Orchestra, and then I re-render it with Hollywood Strings. It allows for even more realism than this. :)

Anthony
There is a similarity between your piece, from 1:47, and "Hook-main themes" by John Williams. If you want to se what I'm talking about, I've put a youtube link here to show you what I'm talking about. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xekV12yTKOQ However, I don't really think that there is enough similarity to be a problem or anything. But that's up to you. =)
