Composer Forum website logo contest!

Hi folks!

We are going to be doing a Composers Forum website graphics contest - anyone with a knack for Photoshop is welcome to join in! I am making an entry to start it off and set the tone, but anything is ok to submit! Any style, concept, etc is just great. The winner will get a lifetime supply of using the composer's forum WOOT! hehehe.

Specs:
image should be a .gif image that is no larger than 100 pixels high by 955 pixels wide. It should clearly say "Composers' Forum" in it. It should work well with various color schemes. Other than that, its up to you! Please post in this forum when you have a submission! THANK YOU!

come on now! I know there are TONS of creative folks in our forums and quite a few have some decent graphical prowess! Show us what'cha got! ;-)

well thats true, but maybe adding in ALL elements representing ALL composers on our forum might be too many ideas for a logo. Maybe someone has an idea though and this is the very time and place to post it ;-) While personally I dont understand how anyone could compose without at least understanding music notation on a page, I suppose there might be some. (btw the score in my version is hand printed by Stravinsky as found in the library of congress archives ;-) Now I know not many people write with 'cut time' (the cents marker I used for the 'C'), unless we have some marching band writers, but it was the only music notation referenced C I could find

I think it's great. I'd suggest beefing up the the "r" and "u" in "Forum", making them a little more substantial for the sake of overall proportion.

That last one was really good and clear.

But can the moderators agree on one thing that has bugged me from day one ?

The apostrophe should be after the "S" because this is a forum for more than one composer ?

yea I agree it should be "Composers' Forum" and not "Composer's Forum" (as in my version of the logo ;-)
