Music Composers Unite!
I recently purchased Audiogram6 that came with a Cubase AI 5 disc.
For my audio interface I downloaded the latest driver. The next day the computer did the audio configuration with the driver. Yeah! I was thrilled. I installed the Cubase in a portable hard drive hoping to save space in the memory, but the software never allowed me to try the actual application (I could look inside and read it's pdf). I installed the elicense control center only to learn I couldn't find the soft license for Cubase. I can't use Cubase!
I frantically searched for that licenece! It is nowhere!
By the way. Happy Easter!
Got any ideas? I need them. Help!

When I downloaded it the soft licence didn't show! 0 licences listed! Yes I had thing connected!
I emailed yamaha about two days ago. So far no email reply. Maybe I need to email Steinberg. :(
Ann, first thing is to calm down and relax (which is a bit rich coming from me who is drunk for the first time in 3 years, as I never usually touch the stuff). But, dare I say it, Ray (who I respect most admirably and hate with as much equal fervour, is right!!).
However, if you really are completely bamboozled by Ray's stanzatic commentary, then I really say with a full and heavy heart, that Steinberg are the most accommodating company I have ever had the pleasure to do business with. If you explain everything to them (more than you have to this forum), they will either give you 'no-brainer' instructions or send you new discs.
Cheers,
Simon
Thanks Simon. I was really hopping mad for a fews days, then I calmed down when I wrote this cry for help. :)
I will contact them and explain as best I can.
Happy Composing,
Ann

Ray's links are good and are for AI4, but it's probably no different than AI5.
Here's a link specifically for AI5
http://www.steinberg.net/en/landing_pages/activate_cai5.html
It has an updated video for AI5, but if you're having internet connectivity issues, it also has the following quick guide in text:
Thanks Don. I tried the above, but I can't find my Soft elicenser number. :(
Not yet.
I also learned Steinberg will be offline for a few days to relocate to downtown office, so there won't be online support for a few days. :(
Happy Cinco de May Doug! :)
YUM! I really enjoy Mexican food!
I finished off the day watching X files movie Fight the Future. The one that begins in Texas 10,000 BC during the Ice Age and winds down in the Antarctic. It seemed nice to top the festive atmosphere with something a little bit spooky. :)
