Your comments welcome. This is based on a dodecaphonic model, but with many liberties taken.

Nice! Very good, compact in its short duration. A couple of places I found particularly moodful, namely bar 9-10 (with the upbeat from bar 8), and in bar 15-16.

I hear some Bennett in there, especially in the way you end the piece, have you heard his Impromtus for guitar?

Just one thing: what tempo do you imagine the piece in? And what degree of rubato, if any?

Again, a very nice, delicate piece. I think you have a high degree of understanding of what perhaps can be called "dodecaphonic aesthetics". The question is then, of course, what to do with it. In this particular style of writing miniature twelve-tone pieces, most have been said, but I think it is great as exercises. I for one am wondering how to develop the technique in an unique direction, how to create something new out of it.

Have you heard anything by the norwegian composer Fartein Valen? A very peculiar and interesting figure one should acquaint oneself with.

Regards,
Eirik
