Music Composers Unite!
Hello everybody,
I am obviosly a new applicant. So I am Hoping to call this home for quite a while.
I was resisstant to join, worried that it some people might be a little reluctant to interact with me, since I am not experienced in symphonic compositions. But am an artist in my own. Dont get me wrong, I am aiming to become a great symphonic writer, I just have a different upbringing that has steered me towards some darker compositions. Ultimatly, I am hoping that I can get some great support and ideas from some of the great composers here. hope to make some great friends here as well.
Thanks alot guys,
Jacob

Great to have another student here. Post something in the dissection subforum, and I will be happy to take a listen and comment on it!

Okay, downloading. Will listen later and reply on your page.. (Or here, but seems of topic)
The youtube sounded well mixed, I never used Reason, but have experience with the "free" (almost) Reaper, that is shareware. Many I know prefer ProTools only or Cubase only.. I tend to change preferences regarding sequencer now and then, now shifting from cubase to reaper.

Pro shareware. I was amazed how good this one was!
I think you may like the tune called Twilight, if you have 6 minutes, on my page. It has got electric guitars, and looped beat, synthesizers. I make a lot of that kind of music, but that is the only of that kind up on my page..
The rest are folktunes and orchestral pieces.

Yeah, that is me on guitar. I just started to figure out how to rewire my Reason session into my Pro tools sessions. I loop my bass and drum tracks. And link up the tempo grid between programs and start writing my guitar parts with the loop record option until I like what i have, then start doubling and stacking tracks. Thanks for the compliment, and I am heading over to your site now to view what you have.
P.s. I have an attachment here of another track I have recorded guitars too If you would like to check it out.

Hey Jacob--I'm new here, too, and I also do not concentrate on anything like traditional orchestral music. I do have an educational background in that, but what I do on my own now is a lot closer to the experimental/avant garde side of progressive rock, heavy Zappa influences, etc.
