Ok, hopefully this isn't a violation of the rules. I have recently finished a re-orchestration of a song from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. I actually quite a bit of what I was able to do with the song, but altogether I feel it could be much better, and it feels a bit off to me. It doesn't exactly sound as authentic as I'd like, and there are spots where I feel that it could be more realistic.

I definitely feel that that opening is way too artificial sounding, hopefully an outside perspective will get me going in the right direction.

I attached links to my soundcloud and youtube. Apparently the audio file is above 7mb, which I find odd. I know some people have trouble through those mediums so I apologize for the inconvenience.

The Lonely Goat, thanks for the reply

And yeah, I definitely feel that it could be mixed/mastered much better than I have done. I use Fl Studio as my DAW. I used The Kontakt Factory Library, their Solo Violin, Celesta, Woodwinds, and Choir, I used CineSamples CineStrings, CinePerc, and CineBrass Core/Pro.

Yeah, my mixing/mastering is still very ...... weak. I've been trying to listen to more sounds to try to pick out what people seem to be doing to get things to sound solid. About high pass filters, I have no clue what that actually means. I guess I've got some more research to do, more things to learn.
