VSL SE w/Logic Pro 8?

I'm seriously considering purchasing Vienna Symphonic Library Special Edition (extended). The promo states the installation also sets itself up completely so there's no need to make aux channels/set multi-timbral command keys/etc. I'd like to know if anyone has VSL SE on an L8 rig. How was the installation? Was it able to function as the promo describes, right out-of-the box? How long was the learning curve?
