Event Description

GameSoundCon is for composers, sound designers, recording professionals and others who want to learn what it takes to work in the growing video game industry.  GameSoundCon LA  features two packed days of seminars, master classes and hands-on training on video game music composition and  sound design, focusing on the unique technical, creative and business challenges of working in the video game industry.

 Game Audio Essentials:

Sessions and panels for composers and sound designers looking to expand into games

Game Audio Pro:

Presentations and sessions covering advanced topics in Game Music and Sound

Hands-on Training in the Leading Game Audio Design Tools

Bring your laptop and learn how to implement game music and sound using FMOD Studio and WWise.  FMOD Studio and WWise are used to create  interactive music and sound effects for games ranging from AAA games like Halo Wars, Forza and Assassin’s Creed down to the smallest iPhone game and are available at no charge to the composer.

Networking Reception:  Meet and mingle with speakers, panelists, other industry veterans and each other.

Plus: Free GDCNext EXPO Pass.  The first 150 to register for GameSoundCon will receive a free EXPO pass to GDCNext , a $150 value.  GDCNext is an exciting new conference run by the people who put on GDC, runs November 5-7, also at the LACC.  The GDCNext expo is a great place to network and meet game developers in town for the conference.
