*** Composers Workshop, June 18-29, 2012 - Charlotte, NC ***

          Compose for String Quartet, Piano, &/or Guitar (or combined instrumentations)

- FREE to Apply, deadline - March 9  ($100 off the workshop if you sign up with a friend!)

- All-inclusive: Tuition includes luxury lodging (beautiful lake with private beach, kayaks, pool, billiards, etc.) lakefront amenities, meals, transportation, & more!

- Daily composition workshops, master classes, orchestration techniques, lectures, & discussions by professional musicians and world-class composers.  Immerse yourself in a creative atmosphere.

- Weekly 1-hour private composition lessons.

- Option for composer & choreographer collaboration, performed in concert with dance (no previous experience is required).

- Professional reading sessions, rehearsals, performances, and 3 recorded concerts.

- Intensive 2-week composition workshop located in Charlotte, NC, at a luxurious all-inclusive lakefront estate on Lake Wylie.  Have a unique opportunity to work closely with world-renowned composers and musicians in this spectacular setting and creative environment.

      The workshop: composition & performances of new works for either (or a combination of) string quartet, piano, and/or guitar.  Use of electronics is welcome.  Guest composers will host lectures, presentations of their works and ideas, composition workshops, and weekly 1-hour private lessons.

     Collaborate with professional musicians as they conduct master classes, readings, demonstration labs, lectures, and rehearsals.  3 professionally performed and recorded & filmed concerts will feature the works of composition students and guest composers.
